Distill It Twice.
Although it takes longer, distilling your moonshine twice will likely have a positive effect on its flavor.
As long as you aren’t in a hurry to produce a batch of moonshine, run it through your still a second time.
Distilling it a second time will help to filter out impurities such as this.
What does double distilling do?
In double distillation, as the liquid in the still (the wash, which is comprised of water, about 8% alcohol and congeners) boils, the alcohol and flavourful congeners will separate from the water, vaporise and travel up the still into the condenser where they are collected before being distilled once more in the spirit
Can you’re distill alcohol?
